Instructions for planting of seed token:

1 – Soak token in water before planting.

2 – Place seed token in a pot of soil and cover with an extra 1cm of soil.

3 – Water thoroughly & often enough to never let the seed token dry out.

4 – Once seeds start to sprout, place in partial sunlight. Do not let soil completely dry out.

5 – When flowers bloom, place pot outside. Keep in pot, do not plant in nature.

In addition to planting flowers for bees one more thing you can do to help them is to leave out a saucer of water to help replenish them during their long journeys in Summer!

Trees are a vital lifeline not just in terms of controlling air pollution; they provide a habitat for animals, purify water sources, control erosion/flooding and help to replenish nutrients into depleted soil. This in turn increases crop yields creating more food and a boost in the local economy.

In addition to planting trees for each card sold, these beautiful cards contain a seed token for the receiver to plant and grow flowers for the bees. Towns and cities are becoming less bee friendly and the bee population is in decline. Bees play an extremely important role in maintaining our eco-system. By planting the seed token, you will be helping to feed our bee friends. Each token contains a mix of Sweet Alyssum, Baby’s Breath, Basil, Poppy, Black Eyed Susan and Marigold.
